Phone-Words is the addictive new word game from the team behind iVisualiser, Anyword Xword and WordJuice. Remember how we used to enter text on a mobile phone? No? Ask your parents/teachers! This new app revisits the days of early mobile phone technology! Relive the joys of the alphanumeric keypad ... or, if you're really, really young experience them for the very first time! Your challenge? Type as many words as you can in 3 minutes using only the keypad. Remember, there's no Autocorrect or predictive text! By pressing a key more than once, you can change the letter. The scoring system will encourage you to use less frequently occurring letters. Find number 5 on the keypad and you'll see that there are three letters beside it on the key - j, k, and l. If you select the letter J you score the number on the key (5) plus 1 (as it is the first letter shown on that key)...so j scores 6 points. K scores 7 points and L scores 8 points. W is the first letter on the number 9 key so it scores 10 points. Use the letter 'Z' and you'll score 13 points! Watch out for the dot at the base of the main screen. If you want to type a word with a repeated letter (like the letter 'e' in scrEEn) then just wait until the dot disappears before entering the repeated letter.
